Market Wrap up

Wow!! What a day we had on Saturday. Did you join us?
How was the weather?? Not a drop of rain all weekend, and a beautiful day for a market. It was spectacular.

We had 85 stalls in attendance, and 100s and 100s of visitors through the gates. I heard that there were some great bargains found, and the kids had a ball on the jumping castles, doing craft, and playing on the school's wonderful playground and oval.

Here are some photos from the day. You can find some more on the Wakehurst PS Website here.

We would like to thank the following businesses for making donations to our raffle:
Imagine for Kids, F is forFrankie, Made by Jenine, Caroline Sutherland of Learning Ladder and Christine Barnes of Nutrimetics, and also Rebecca Davidson for her beautiful handmade beaded bookmarks.

If you were a stallholder on the day, or just came to shop, we'd love to hear what you thought. Feedback can be left as a comment here or send to our email address wakehurst-atkm@hotmail.com

Who's coming to market????

Are you??? I hope so. There will be so much to buy and do, I hope you will come along and join us.

Contrary to what has been published in the Manly Daily this week, the Market will not be held from 9:00am until 9:00pm, but will be held from 9:00am - 2:00pm.

You will find us at Wakehurst Public School, 8 Glen St, Belrose.

As well as more than 50 stalls chock full of good quality preloved children's goods, we will have 30 local businesses hosting stalls at the market. These will include interactive craft stalls, face painters and sports party providers.

Come and find a bargain, book a service or buy something special and get your Christmas shopping started early (you know you've always wanted to).

And don't forget, as well as over 80 stalls there will be a BBQ, cake stall, coffee vans, gelato and lots of fun for the kids.

Hope to see you there!!

Awesome Activity Alert!!!!!

Do you have kids who love to scooter, skateboard or in-line skate? Are your sk8r kids under 14 years old? Well this Saturday will be the day for them to improve their skills and get some expert coaching from some of the best in Sydney.

The team from SkaterHQ will be holding scooter, skateboard and in-line skate masterclasses on Saturday at our market. What a great way to keep the kids amused so that you can do some shopping in peace.

Sessions will start at 10am, 11am and 12pm - with in-line skating only available in the 11am time slot - at a cost of $20 for a 45 minute session.

SkaterHQ will bring all the equipment, or you can use your own. It will be compulsory to wear safety gear, which will also be provided if you don't have your own.

Bookings can be made on the day at the canteen or the SkaterHQ booth, but book early, as numbers in each session are limited.

Stall Bookings closed

We have had such a fantastic response to our Market, and we thank each and everyone of you for your interest and support.

Please note that we will no longer be sending out booking forms for pre loved stalls.

If you have been sent a pre loved booking form, and have not yet returned it, please do so by TOMORROW (Tuesday 11 October) so that we can finalise our market layout and have further details sent to you in time for the market.

Forms received after this date cannot be guaranteed a place, and rejection hurts (the giving and the receiving), so get them back to us quickly please.

If you have a business that you would like to promote, there are a few spaces available for business stalls, but we would need to have your booking completed by Wednesday.

In the meantime, please come on down to our market on Saturday and enjoy a fun day out with your family while also supporting Wakehurst Public School.
BBQ, gelato, cakes, jumping castles, face painting, coffee.......a great day to be had by all.

Tonight I would like to tell you about another of the businesses joining us on the 15th.
Activity Packs is a new, local company that provides creative activity packs for pre-school and primary school children across Australia.

Their packs are pre packed ready-to-ship craft activities complete with the accessories required to easily entertain children at birthday parties, playgroups, during rained out weekends and school holidays or at any other children’s events.
The current range includes:

* Canvas painting activity packs – complete with ready-to-hang canvas panels, acrylic paints, paint brushes, sponges, glitter pens and a table cover.

The stall will be set up on the day for children to be entertained painting their own masterpiece. So visit Lenka from Activity Packs and help your children create their own work of plaster art, or pick up a pack to take home.
